How do I set my computer to wake up at a specific time?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but it is the most popular/viewed and hopefully I'll get a fast reply.

I was wondering how you could set the computer to boot itself up at a specific time, everyday, and shut itself off, everyday.

Get a pen. Stick it to an automated alarm clock, make a weird contraption where the pen is pointing towards the power button. *ring*. Press.
