How do i set my AthlonXP-M to its default speeds

I have an Albatron KM400A Pro motherboard, Athlon XP-Mobile 3000+

The cpu detects as "unknown cpu" @ 800mhz. ofcourse this is normal for most mobiles in desktop systems. my Bios doesn't have multiplier or voltage changes. so i have done a pinmod on the socket to get my multiplier higher and succesfully got to 17x multiplier @ 2.2ghz (2800+) stable.

But if i set my multiplier to 18x so i can get 3000+ speeds which is the default rating of the cpu, i get a bluescreen and system restart when trying to load windows.... can you tell me what i need to do? or am doing wrong?

The answer is simple.
Update your bios!

The "Unknown CPU" basically means your BIOS recognizes that it's old and it needs an update.

Yes i know that, i have already updated my bios, but a bios update will not fix the unknown cpu issue, because maybe only like 1% of mobos support the "mobile" cpu so therefore regardless of a bios update they will not recognise the cpu. which i really couldnt care about because its nothing but a "label" i just want to get my correct clock speeds.

Ok i fixed it just had my stupid cpu clock jumper set 133 , i put it to 200mhz now and im getting right speeds. hope others can use this thread as reference....probs not as your jumpers would be right....i hope. =)
