How do i send a text msg to someone's phone if i don't know their carrier?

I rather text msg than call the person.

How do i do that if i dont know the carrier and i dont have my cell on me?

Let me guess, you forgot to add you want to do this from a web site and not from your cell phone, right? If its from a web site, you need to know the carrier.

If you are referring to text messaging via the providers website then you could always try finding the number on whitepages.com and click on the reverse phone option. They should be able to tell you who the phone number is registered to.

Since everyone and their grandmother has a cell phone these days, I'm guessing that you're trying to send an anonymous text.
