how do i sell my car if i don't have the pink slip?

I am 100% of the owner.. but i lost the pink slip.. can i still sell the car? also, the guy buying from me has a loan approved from calfed.. and they want the title so they can become a lien holder and have him as the new owner..

can this still be done?? i'd like to sell it asap so i can pay off my debt for the car i just bought replacing that one.. anyone know offhand how banks work if i don't actually have the pink slip? can i use some other way to transfer title?

Yup, that's the ONLY way. Actually, in my state (Kentucky) you can go to the County Clerk's Office and they'll take care of it. The may expedite your request for extra charge.

Seriously, you need to go to the DMV to get a replacement.

If you don't have the title you can't prove the car's yours. Therefore you can't sell it legally.
