How do I see what's loading when I startup WinXP?

In the past versions of windows, you pushed a button and you could see were windows was getting stuck, is there an equiv. for win xp?
 
Hit F8 and choose safemode, it will show you the drivers loading and keep an eye out. If your system crashes make a note of the last driver loaded.
