My computer is shutting down on it's own about three to five times a day.
The only thing new in the computer is that I've replaced a dead mobo with a new refurb from newegg. (Asus A7N8X ver2 Deluxe)
One suggestion for the cause of these power downs/power ups is spyware, seedy-internet shenanigans, etc...
How do I check to see if my computer is infected by some cyber-jerk using his hack as a remote control to shut off my sanity lol. I'm going crazy trying to get this system stable and need to know WHAT the cause of this behavior is...never seen anything like it. I get no warning, and no countdown (so I know it's not the Blaster virus)...but the only thing I can think of is either internet-hacking or a bad mobo. My PSU is fine and all other hardware has been working just fine for over a year.
Anyone got any ideas on how to find spyware so I can rule that out?
