How do I save Windows Update files for future use?

Like the title says. I am running Win2K and have installed it several times and each time I have had to download the updates again. Is there any way I can have them burned on a CD or on another disk? Where can I find the files and how do i activate them? Thanks

i copy the folders that the updates are in to another drive and after a reinstall copy them back
then run windows update. it see's the files and installs them only downloading any new files it needs.

C:\Programs\Windows Update
C:\Windows Update Setup Files
C:\WINNT\Driver Cache
C:\WINNT\ServicePackFiles

done this alot, works for me 🙂

There is also a corporate downloads page (corporate.windowsupdate.com, mebbe?) that allows you to download lots of stuff as a single file. It is intended for upgrading a large number of computers from a single download.

Hey, that's a great link! I've been looking for something like this for a while... but I haven't REALLY needed it since I sit on such a fat pipe (gotta love these University subsidized multiple OC-3 connections).

Anyway, I'm going to burn this stuff on a CD right now and conserve some bandwidth 🙂
