How Do I run UT2004 in widescreen mode?

Greetings.

I recently acquired the HP L2335 23" widescreen LCD and am trying to run Unreal Tournament 2004 in widescreen mode. I tried editing the UT2004.ini manually, but that didn't seem to do it. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I'd appreciate any and all suggestions.

yeah. Every time it starts the game, however, it has the resolution set to 1600x1200, which aren't the values I used. What res do you suggest?

EDIT: Well, I got it running at 1920x1200, although playable, I think I should scale it down one step... what would be the next resolution down?

1680x1050 is the next "standard" 16:10 resolution below 19x12, I believe. (It's what my monitor's native resolution is anyway 😛)

UT2004 won't take that res from me. it bumps it to a 4:3 ratio from that... bloodly hell. What the next 16:10 ration that UT2004 will take that's under 1920x1200

It won't work even when you change it in the UT2004.ini file? It works just fine for me.

I suppose you might have to go into your video drivers and add 1680x1050 as a custom resolution, then it *should* work.
