how do i run a exe in a window?

ive got some small exe's here and when i run them, the screen goes blank and then the graphical outputs of the exe is displayed in B/W or Black and cyan at 640x480

so its like its running in DOS or something.

i need to take a screen shot of the output, but printscreen just gives me a blank image.

is there anyway i can get the exe to run in a window so i can printscreen it and crop it in PS?

I would recommend a program that can capture special screen images like Hypersnap DX or Gadwin Printscreen (free).

Running it in a window might be tricky without a virtual machine or something.

oh right

i tried running it using cmd but it did the same thing, goes to 640x480 to show me the graph, cant use the mouse, and gotta press enter to progress through the screens until it kicks back to the desktop

ill have a look for those programs, but as this is a works machine i doubt ill be able to install them

You could try disabling hardware acceleration.
Display properties >> Settings >> Advanced >> Troubleshoot > Drag to none.

Might force software rendering?

What program is it anyway?
