how do i restore my search in IE

I use windows ME. In the search window of Internet Exlporer, when I try to use the Search Assistant, I get this stupid sureseeker.com search engine . The 'next' arrow no longer fuctions. I can choose to use only one search engine just fine but when I try to use the assistant this annoying sureseeker thing pops up....how do I get rid of it so the 'next' arrow will actually let me choose other search engines without having to use the customize button...it used to be nice to go from engine to engine at a single click...thanks in advance for any help
