How do I remove this laptop hard drive? (Photo)

I removed the 2 screws on the bracket on the right.
The drive is still firmly connected on the left side where it says "08S1"

Slide it to the right and lift it out.

Yep, this

Also there is a mounted bracket on the drive that will have to be installed on the new drive.

But, as stated it should just be the standard 9mm thick drive. However if you have a 7.5mm drive it will still mount just fine.

Yea, it easily slid to the right.

I moved the mounting bracket onto my new SSD drive.

Got the PNY 240GB SSD drive for something like $84 (rebate)

Upgraded my Dell desktop 180G SSD with the new 240GB SSD, and moved the old 180GB SSD into my Gateway laptop.
Used Acronis True Image Home 11 to copy the images across drives.
Gateway laptop now running lightning fast with 180GB SSD and 4GB RAM.
