How do I remove this frame from Windows Media Player?

It clears the pane but leaves it there blank. It also stops whatever media selection is currently playing. It was the first thing I tried. I've spent more than a few moments looking before going through this effort I assure you. Thanks.

Try clicking the down arrow under "Now Playing" and uncheck "Show List Pane"

That arrow removes it for me, so idk why that doesn't work for you.

It is frustrating. I can't remember if I tried the drop down menu under Now Playing or not. When I get it back together I will try that first thing. Thank you.

Weird, the purpose of that arrow is to totally hide the list pane. I just did it with a playing DVD and it worked fine. You can try what O.C. said as well, but it should just do the same thing.
