How do I remove thermal paste?

I want to properly apply it this time(I've used too much paste). So how do I clean it and reapply? Any good sites that deal with this?
 
I just put mine in the washing machine overnight 😀

Really, just wipe it off with your finger, and clean with alcohol (optional).
 
I've found the best gear for cleaning off the surfaces are medical sterets which are used to clean the skin surface prior to venepuncture. lint free & soaked with isopropyl alcohol. unfortunately you have to buy a full box of 100 unless you know someone in the trade! 😉
