place your card in a Zip lock bag, and place it in your Refrigerator freezer. Let it stay for a couple of hours or just over night.

Take out your super cool videocard then use a creditcard and insert it between the VPU and the heatsink. Try wiggle it up and down. If it doesn't come off use a flathead screw driver and place that between the creditcard and the Heatsink. now wiggle it up and down. You screw driver should only have contact with the creditcard and the heatsink, but not contact with the VPU unit.

Thats what ive heard works.
Personally, i prefer the method of "persuasion".
Undo the clips on the HS. Yank it.
If it still doesnt come off, use a blunt knife, and lever it off.

I had to replace a fan/heatsink on my old radeon 8500le . I ran a loop of 3d mark for 20 min. pulled the card quickly and placed a CC under the edge of the heatsink and put a wide flat blade screw driver between the two and gave a little twist and it poped right off.

I would try to twist and not pry it gives you alot more force with less chance of damage to your card.

Good luck and if you take your time it will work out fine.
