How do I remove the Linux portion on an XP machine?

I've done this before, but its been a long time. I have a laptop that dual boots Mandrake 9 and XP Pro. I need to give it to a user, and would prefer that he didn't have to have the boot screen that makes him select Windows. If he just turns it on, it will boot into the Linux side.

I don't want to have to re-install XP. I just want to remove the boot utility, and then format the Linux partitions into 1 NTFS partition.

Thanks for the help.

boot with the xp install disc, boot into your system using the recovery console, enter fixmbr reboot.

Boot into XP, right click on "My Computer" choose Manage, go to Disk Management, delete the unknown partition (which would be the linux partition). As for merging that now unused partition, there are a few utilities out there that you could use off of a Knoppix disk, but I don't remember if they support NTFS or not. You'd either have to purchase Partition Magic, be stuck with 2 partitions or reformatting the pc.
