If you want to just not have the tray icon start when you boot up, i think you can just right click the icon and there should be a "disable" option which will give you the option to disable from startup.
Your mileage may vary depending on version.
There is no disable button, I have to remove it some other way. How could I do that through MSCONFIG? I know it's not taking up all my resources, but it just bugs the hell out of me that I can't get it out of my tray.
