Okay, I feel like such a noob for asking, but... it was over two years ago the last time I did it, and I just don't remember. 
I want to replace the stock HSF on my P3 1GHz. The installation instructions for it are here (PDF). I can't find any instructions on removing it.
I tried to remove the fan, but it's clipped on tight and I don't see a release mechanism for it. I'm hesitant about using too much force as I don't want to rip the processor out of the socket.
I'd like to remove just the fan and try out my Zalman Fan Bracket to see if it cools any better first. If not, I'll proceed to replace the setup with the CNPS31000+.
I assume that once I remove the fan, I just have to release the clip lever as shown in the diagram. The thing is, how do I remove that darn fan first?
