Accidently pin striped / lightly scuffed my new truck today. Whats the best way to remove these. Do I need to buff/wax them out or take it to a detail shop?

I'd say if you have to ask...detail shop. While it's easy to fix things, it's also easy to mess things up if you don't know what you are doing. I knew one dude that gave detailing a shot and did something unbelievably moronic. He set the buffer bonnet down on his driveway between using it. The paint was pretty much ruined by the time he was done. There is a lot of things that can go wrong.

I'd try regular polish first (wax <> polish) first by hand and then by random orbital.

If that didn't work, I would get some swirl remover with a random orbital.

Pinstriping is a decal/paint you put on a vehicle...hairline scratch may be what you are looking at saying.

If you can feel the scratch with a fingernail you may need more abrasive compounds.

Always start with the least abrasive and work up in abrasives. You will then have to also work down to get it back to polished.
