how do i remove items from my systray in win 2k server??

i know its msconfig for 98 but i don't know for 2000. please help!!

haven't found an easy way yet. usually use regedit to disable those utils; in win xp you will finally be able to hide tray icons.

Depends on the program that put it there. Usually in the configuration, there is an option for whether or not you want in icon in the systray. I have a total of 1 icon in my sys tray. The rest I told to gtfo.

adaptec direct cd has no option...when i click it, it just says properties. =(

that sh!t is pissing me off now.

I saw this exact question on The Screen Savers. Goto Google and search for Win2k msconfig. There is a program available that does the exact same thing as Msconfig does but in Win2k. I haven't had a need to try it, but I would imagine that it does work.

I know you can get rid of adaptec directcd just by configuring it in some way. I did it on my work computer. If you ahven't found it by tomorrow, I'll tell you when I get to work.
