How do I remove hs bracket from motherboard?

I have an Abit IS7 and I just got my 947U hs and I need to put that x-bracket on the back of the mb. But I don't know how to take the original bracket off.

See the 4 white pins in each corner of the retention bracket? Those need to be carefully pried up (with a small screwdriver or whatever) and then you'll be able to pull the retention bracket up off the mobo.

Look at the split protrusions on the underside of the board. The white pins wedge those protrusions apart and that's what keeps the rentention bracket securely attached to the board. When you remove the white pins those protrusions will push together as you pull the bracket up off the board. Sometimes you need to squeeze them together a little with some needle-nose pliers.
