You can take your paint code and go to your local PPG or DuPont automotive paint store. Here, DuPont will mix up a half-pint usually pretty cheap, depending on the color of your car. Red is most expensive.
Acetone will not remove factory automotive paint...but it will almost certainly remove the glue.
mineral spirits ( or paint thinner) will also work.
If you want to be on the safe side...you can test the acetone or thinner on paint in the engine compartment. On the off chance that the acetone does remove some your clear coat or paint, no one will see it regularly and no one would care if there is a small blemish in the engine compartment...it is dirty enough in there anyhow.
