How Do I Remove An Internet Explorer Ad Bar?

My bride installed some funky software which added an ad bar below the I/E address bar. It's annoying to me, always hawking ebay, verizon or som dating service. Any ideas how to get rid of it. I uninstalled the junk she put on but the bar remains.:disgust:

You might find it under Tools/settings/view objects so you can rightclick and delete. In the meantime you can probably right-click the menu area and deselect it.

i'm guessing the software installed comes from lop.com, since it has separate uninstaller for the software and the toolbar ....

Fixed the problem. The program Music Match, even though uninstalled stays on the system. It creates two files in the program directory. Music Match and one called "MM". By deleting the .dll located in the "MM" directory and removing registery entries refering to the dll, the window goes away.
