As the topic says...
I got a new HD4850 and replacing my old 7600gt, how do I properly remove it first from xp?
Thanks

Depends on how often you updated your drivers.... If you have fairly recent drivers, use the uninstall in the control panel, reboot, then use driver cleaner pro, and tell it to remove nvidia display drivers, and that should do it.

I just did the add/remove programs, and didn't use the driver cleaner. I installed the new card and it seems to work fine. Just one issue, futuremark 05 doesn't work.. it gets stuck on splash screen... weird. Now I can't compare my upgrade...

Thanks for that bro.

Anyway, just for the record, 3dmark05 results (same system only upgraded vid card):

1. MSI 7600GT - 4235
2. Gigabyte HD4850 - 11649

I'm pretty impressed, its nearly 3 times better, which is amazing to me. I hope its a good result, lol.
For now I've tested it on C&C all graphics maxed -> no sweat.
