I have an Intel P4 1.7ghz chip and an Intel D850GB motherboard that i have lying around (both have been opened for inspection purpose by me, but never installed/taken out of static bag), as well as some RDRAM (don't know the size off the top of my head, but where's a good place to price that as well?) and a 430 watt (i think) power supply. What kind of prices can i expect to yield from the sale of this to a guy at work?

Look at the prices on pricewatch and take some money off for being used... Thats the easiest way to go about it...

but it's not really used. Nothing was ever installed, it's all still in the sealed plastic static bags. However, the seal on the outside box (if there even is one) has probably been cut to open the box. Do i still jog off the price a little for it being used?

If it's been in antibody's hands it's already considered used and the price drops dramatically. If you want to sell it quick (or even to sell it at all) I'd suggest subtracting 33% from the prices you find @ pricewatch.

Unless you can provide the full service of a dealer, including tech support and the ablity to RMA anything that is defective for up to a year, yes you do. Otherwise, why should someone buy it from you instead of a dealer who can provide these services?
