How do I power a computer in a car?

I want to put a comp in my car. How would I hook it up to the battery?

Better: Power inverter, you can plug any AC device into it. My friend gave it to me so I'm not sure how many amps its rated at, but I remember he had a choice of two and he got the higher rated one. PM me later if you really want to know.

What KingNothing said. The good ones should push up to 5 amps.

just get the 150w one..that's enough to power a standard PC..

Which is fine, but it only works with your laptop. A power inverter is so much more useful for when, say, your friends rent a van to go someplace and you hook up a big screen TV and nintendo in the back.
