How do I plug in 2 speakers into the Toshiba Satellite R15-S822 notebook?

Hi my problem is that when I simply plug in 2 outside speakers into my laptop (Toshiba Satellite R15-S822) the regular laptop speakers still work. I do not know how to disable the laptop built-in speakers and just have these work. When I try to enter the BIOS, 5 symbols come up upon boot up and it lets you select each one but I havnet been able to actually go into the BIOS and see if there is an option to Disable Speakers?

What should i do?

Thanks.

They should automatically turn off. If they don't, that means Toshiba would actually had to install a Y-device SPECIFICIALLY to foil you. Try to push the plug in farther, that could be the problem.

Alternatively you could swap around the different plugs to see if that does anything.
