Do they play with nothing coming out of the speakers or do you get an immediate error?
You may have a bad midi mapping set to a synth that is not existent or set to hardware with no voice samples loaded.
We do this on the cafe computers so people visiting websites with embedded midi's (ugh x 10) don't play and disturb others.

It opens up in any application, (WMP, Winamp, Realplayer, VLC) but there is no sound... I find it odd that the songs are only like 50KB each...im pretty sure they are not streaming though.

I took a look at them and they play fine. I could convert each one to a mp3...but that would increase the size a lot. Go into control panel and to "Sounds and Audio devices" - >"audio" tab -> And make sure something is selected for midi playback. If something is, see if there are other device options available and try those. Also make sure all the volumes in your sound mixer are turned up including "SW synth" such. This is most likely the problem.

Thanks a million! My SW synth was muted for some reason.
