How do I overclock the MSI 831?

I am curious about overclocking my MSI 831 Geforce2 64MB Pro card. I am on a Windows 2000 machine. The package included a program called 3D Turbo 2000 which is supposed to allow me to change the bus frequencies etc.. but that does not appear to happen. I tried putting coolbits into the registry but it doesn't do anything. Can anyone give me some help?

Download nvmax from here: LINK

I like it the best, but it seems to be the final version and won't be updated.

A lot of people like Geforce Tweak Utility from here: LINK

There's others if you look around. But one of those should work for you.

Good luck.. BTW your 831 should hit around 230/450 (core/mem). Let me know if you hit a lot better with stock cooling.

Asnmosh: Go to Display Properties. There are 2 tabs: MSI Information and MSI Clock. MSI Clock will let you OC the video card. I have the same card as you and am running stably at 220/440.

Yeah, I like it. It's not supported anymore by it's owner for whatever reason. But it does everything I need it to do. 450 is the average I think, while I've heard of people hitting 475. I get massive artifacts at 465'ish and almost rock stable at 460.
