Download coolbits (not coolbits 2 since that one apparently screws up your game profiles) and then raise core/memory frequency a little at a time. Most people raise memory 25mhz (50mhz effective) and core 10mhz at a time. When you start to see artifacts (discolored pixels, messed up textures, etc) while running a 3d intensive program (ie Doom3 time demo or 3dmark2003/2001) then go back to the last stable clock speed. Sometimes you can reach higher core speeds with slightly lower memory speeds (ie 440core/1150memory whereas it might fail at 430core/1200memory) and in general, increasing core frequency will give you better performance results.
