I am on a T-1, and wandering if anyone can help me to larn how to tweak my connection to get better performance. I know with a T-1 i shouldnt be worried about it, but i wanna do it. I heard there is a way to go into the registry and do this. Can someone please Tell me how to do that or a different way to do it?

The only real thing you need to do is optomize your RWIN, the MTU is something you really can ignore for the most part, it's the RWIN that will really show an increase in performance. However, it can be a disadvantage at some point. By raising the RWIN you download speeds will increase but your pings may rise, which isn't good if you are a hardcore gamer. The best thing to do is fiddle with it and run some tests to see what works the best.

DSLReports has a lot of information on it here.

Use DSLreport's tweak tester to see if your computer needs tweaking. Most win2000 pass the test fine, but my old win95 machine needed a kick in the pants (RWIN)
