How do I open a *.mix image file?

A friend sent me their picture which ends with a *.mix extension and I cannot open the file. They use "Picture It Express" if it helps. How can I open this image?

There must be an indespensible shareware utility which can open any and ALL image types available at download.com got an application name?

you can use the open with function and open it in image vewer or paint or something

A search turned up this

Some kind of Microsoft proprietary file. Used in a couple of programs, Photodraw and Picture it.

Might check around in MS Office or something, see if they are any image viewers there.

Found a copy of it for $4.99 here

Might try this freebie from Kodak, maybe it will do it.

Thanks mlip129 and thanks Sluggo for that research and posting those links I'll check those out.

Anyone else? If my iMac were working I could open this file lickedy split but that's not an option right now.
