dunno what an artifact is. can't say ive ever seen one.

no, not if you use powerstrip. you can just set it and forget it.

an artifact is a "glitch" or screwed up texture you'll see on the screen if you overclock too much.

4ns ram is good for about 275MHz tops, and 3.6ns ram 265-315MHz depending on voltage to the mem. Some LE's undervolted the ram so it won't be able to reach 275MHz.

Cores are good for 285-310 usually with stock voltage and cooling.

heh, the guy that i bought this from told me it was the LE version, but its actually the regular version.
anyways, i thnk i hvae hynix 3.3 ram. you determine that by the last 2 numbers on the markings right?

o, and i OC'ed it to 300/300. how much higher do you think this could go?

ive read at the rage3d forums only a few guys getting 310/310 or 325.325

wouldnt expect any more than 310 myself, if youre lucky...just try a few mhz at a time, load up a good game for a bit and go from there

my computer room gets hot...my le will do around 280/275 tops if its cool - like in the winter
summer though, it wont budge, even with a couple extra case fans and the like....just too damn hot in here
