How do I mount this SSD drive?

Hey everyone,

I was super-excited to get my first SSD, but now I'm having trouble mounting it in my desktop.

The current hard drive is mounted by four screws that screw into its underside. (See photo below). I have the SSD attached to a 3.5" bracket, but it's designed to be secured with screws on the side. The current HD slot is only wide enough and only accepts screws for its current mounting method too.

Any ideas on how I can mount my SSD? Thanks!

velcro. Or tape, or just put iy in the back of your case and wedge it against the side panel. It really doesnt matter.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm going to go with the velcro strips of tape. (2 1"x3" strips should do the trick.)

The SSDs are screwed to the bracket from the underneath, meaning the bracket must screw into the case from the side. Thats the same problem.

That's a problem I ran into when mounting my 2.5" spinner and SSD. I don't move my case a lot, and the drives are so light, I just screwed in the bracket on one side. They are level and mounted vertically in my drive cage.

Its soo small and light,, put it anywhere you want,, open your side case and place it outside,,,,, put it on the bottom, or get conv bracket, its soo light and what not,, no need to screw it into a conver.... gl
