I'm interested in moving my email and other internet utilities and settings from my desktop to the laptop. I've installed the apps on the laptop; same version; my goals are three fold:

1. Keep Firefox Bookmarks
2. Keep Outlook Settings and emails
3. Keep Thunderbird Settings and emails

Any advice?

There is a backup utility for mozilla software called MozBackup. Here's a link:

mozbackup

You can use that to backup Thunderbird and Firefox but I'm not sure about backing up Outlook. Why not import settings from Outlook into Thunderbird? MozBackup is pretty straightforward, just backing up everything to one file and then restoring from that file. Hope this helps, good luck!

Thanks - I'll be doing that for Thunderbird and Firefox today. I know I can transfer the files, I've figured out the Outlook email data file, but what about the address book? I might just migrate it all to Thunderbird, but I prefer keeping the Business and Personal email in separate programs, and Outlook does have scheduling features that Sunbird hasn't met yet (Mozilla equivalent).
