How do I? mass convert .bmp to .jpg??

I have around 40 bitmaps equaling over 200 megs at the moment that I want to put on the web. I want to convert all of them to jpg to reduce file size. Can I do this to them all at the same time, or will I have to go individually and save as??

do you have photoshop? you can do it there by running a batch command.

Crap! It took me 3 hours yesterday converting a couple hundred files from bmp to pcx. ARGH!
