How do I map mouse buttons on Linux?

Right now I'm using Konqueror as my browser and the side buttons to my Intellimouse does something but not what I want it to, which is to go back and forward like in IE. Is there a setting anywhere that will let me do this? Thanks.
 
Looking at my own system now with KDE 3 that functionality doesn't seem to be built in. Maybe somebody has done a different driver though.
