How do i make windows media player play DVD's?

I think its garbage that they call it a "media" player and it cant even play a media thats not that long away from being replaced.

Anyways, i cant seem to find a codec or plugin that will work. Any help?

Get VLC. WMP sucks for DVDs.

Edit - To answer your original question, install a supported DVD decoder (Cyberlink, Intervideo) - for the most part you have to pay money for them, but ATi/nVidia have free ones for their card users IIRC.

Most DVD drives include software that will install the codecs (In my case it was Cyberlink PowerDVD). I've never had any problems and I always watch my DVDs in WMP.
