how do i make tar files in WindowsXP?

i'm going to run a game server on my Linux box through Wine because i already setup the stuff for a game server on windows and some of the stuff on my server is Windows only.....so wine kicks in.

i'm trying to transfer a ton of configuration files, about 400mb of stuff from 1 computer to the other but i need to tar it first. i'm not sure if Linux knows what to do with zip files and i'm not sure if i would even know how to unzip it in Linux.

Winace can do it.

Unzippers for Linux are all over the place as well.

well my idea sucked balls lol, i tried to execute it and it opened the HLDS window but it would not show any text and it was lagging super hard so i had to close it...... lol

eh *nix was usin zip before any win box knew what to do with it=) .. but ya surprisingly enough its "unzip" probably could have guessed that one at the command line =) ..
