How do I make my Pioneer DVD ROM Region Free?

Title explains it all . I have a 16X Pioneer "Blue Streak" (it's actually a Matshita DVD-ROM SR-8586. How can I make it region-free (I've heard you can flash the bios or something like that)? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I go to 7th zone for DVD stuff. Use to be called DVD Utilities.

There are NO actual files there at 7thzone. Where do I find the actual firmware upgrade?

good question. I just noticed that. Maybe they took them offline. I know I got my Toshiba firmware from them. And, I mean the link I gave you was for downloads. Hmmm
