How do I make my iMac mine?

It always says the previous owner's iMac, I changed his account to my name and such, and know his password, but I don't know how to make his name mine?
Like it says that it is like his documents and such, how do I change this?

the easiest way its to just create a new account under your name and delete the old one

I don't have the OS disc, and the already present OSX was pretty clean.
I already changed his name to mine under accounts, but how does it change to my name under who's iMac it is and who's documents they are.

Changing the Unix short name is ridiculously annoying.

as stated, if you need to change the short name, it's a pain. you're better off making a new account.

alternatively, what you might be talking about is the network name... under system preferences, under sharing, change the name up top there.
