How do I make boot disks so I can clean install WinXP Pro?

I can't boot from the CD like I could with Win2000 Pro and I know there is a program you can download at Microsoft's site that creates a set of 6 or so bootable floppy disks but I can't find it.

Anyone have a link?

Look at BOOTDISKS

Down the page a little (4th item under BOOTDISKS) it has a link to M$ for the 6 disks. Actually ONE file that then creates 6 floppys (xp pro) That is how I installed.

I had same issue with an older FIC MoBo. Setting was there but that MoBo NEVER let me boot from ATAPI drive. So that is why I made the disks.

Just create a Win98 startup floppy (bootdisks.com) and optionally add the file "smartdrv.exe" from c:\windows\command on a Win98 system. Boot to the floppy, run smartdrive, then run "d:\i386\winnt" (where d: is the CD).
