Pho is Vietnamese....Thai food would be something like Pad Thai or Pad See Yew

pho is the sh!t. you can just look up recipes online.

i make it at home but it's not the same. also the soup is not soy sauce based...there's no soy sauce in it at all.

Thai soup generally doesn't use soy sauce, especially not as a base.
It's a chicken broth base, usually with lemongrass and/or fish sauce.

okay here's some ingredients i use to make pho (learned from my gf). recipe takes time but comes out ok.

herbs for soup:
star anise, cinnamon stick, cloves, brown onion, ginger.
beef boullion (for that awesome MSG flavor), salt.

components:
noodle
beef neck bones/shin bones
thinly sliced beef/beef balls

garnishes:
basil, lemon, bean sprouts, cilantro, green onion

sauces:
sriracha, hoisin sauce

Quick & easy
1. boil bones for a couple minutes to get rid of blood.
2. strain, reboil. add whole root of ginger (smashed with end of knife), and onion (peeled, previously toasted in oven).
3. put star anise, cinnamon stick, cloves in 'spice bag' and throw in soup. boil whole concoction for 4-5 hours is good.
4. when done, add boullion and salt to taste.

4. to make individual bowls, boil noodle (about 30 sec) and throw into bowl. add garnishes as desired, and raw sliced beef on top. dump boiling hot soup onto soup and beef and garnish. add other garnish/sauces as desired. enjoy.

now i don't think anyone would bother to try this but it might be an interesting read anyway.

edit: oh yeah i forgot i usually throw a little fish sauce into the soup.
