How do I make a program think it is running on Windows 95 under Windows 2000?

Ok, this might sound strange, but there a few programs I want to install that think Windows 2000 is an older version than Windows 95.

I'm sure there has too be some tool that lets me trick such programs into thinking they are running on Windows 95 or Windows 98 and not Windows 2000.

Anyone know of such a thing?

in case that doesn't help:

on your win2k cd look in \Support\ there's a exe called APCOMPAT. That'll do it
