Please let us know what Operating System you have installed on your server... Be much easier to narrow the list...

If you're on a Windows platform i would suggest MerakMail. It's fast, Wapmail and Webmail is included (in Pro version) and costs a fraction of what MDaemon and/or Exchange does.

The good part is if you have a feature request chances are, the author will incorporate it in the next release.

well basically just install it, run it and you're ready to go. the first thing you might wanna do is create MX records in your DNS. i do recall you saying that you're with DynIP or someother group (can't recall)

if so then chances are you wouldn't need to set-up MX records anymore (then again, i really can't recall how DynIP worked)

as for the mail server side of things, to get a basic system running just configure the System tab.

Then go to the Accounts tab, hit CTRL-D (create a domain) and then CTRL-U (create a user)

you're set :)

well, the domain would be what you have set-up with DynIP (e.g. networkingrockz.dynip.net or something like that) :)

OK, my dynip is msmith. So that would be (for my domain name) msmith.dynip.com ??????? When I give people my email addy it would be username@msmith.dynip.com (but I'm just going to continue giving my bellsouth addy and have them foward my email to me. So Dynip does allow the "email fowarding" to my server??

THanks a lot of the help! I really do appretiate it.

thanks
mike
