how do i make a dvd with menu

I want to make a DVD with a bunch of video clips but I'd like them all to stay in divx format (not encoded into MPEG2) and to have a menu.

I usually use Nero Vision to make DVD movies with menus but it always converts the video clips into MPEG2 so it takes up too much space.

There's a drop-down in video options that specifies video format as MPEG-2 but the drop-down is greyed out so I can't change it.

Any help?

regular DVD players can't play Divx files; that's why they get converted to MPEG2.

set top players that are compatible with Divx files are usually about the same price as regular DVD players.
