How do I make a boot disk that runs chkdsk in xp?

I tried to google it but can't find anything working. I need to make a boot disk that can run chkdsk from dos. Something is wrong w/ windows that it wont run in win. thanks.

correct. one way to can run a chkdsk is to boot the computer with the windows XP cd, goto the recovery console, and type chkdsk at the command prompt
