I am not sure about Asus but I Format a floppy disk and let it make it bootable.
Then I put the files for BIOS update on it and boot from floppy and type in the exe file for update.

That's what I do also. If you have a major-brand computer such as a Dell you can do a flash from a hard disk based file too, I can't guarantee it for all vendors though.
yes, bootdisk.com. choose the clean or bios flashing file. dl it and run it. i just got through doing my tx100Ultra ide card bios with it. works great. i don't believe you can make a dos boot disk with xp, i can't anyway. i always use the windows utility for my lite on writers. does asus have a windows flash utility anyone?
