i dunno how else to say it... theres a wired remote i have on the altec lansing 641. Theres a bunch of wires running through the tubing but one or two of 3 wires that lead to the headphone jack thats been split somewhere. If i move the wire around for a good 15-20 minutes i can get sound in my headphones (both sides). I want to solder or something but theres soo many wires i dont want to just totally cut the thing since theres so many inside and i might make it worse if i dont know where each wire connects to (since only the headphone has problems, normal use with speakers is fine).

Anyone know how to locate where the wires been split and remove tubing on that area only so i can maybe try to connect them back together if i can.

If you have a altec lansing 641 system that you dont use any more and dont need your remote and willing to sell/give/whatever click here thx.

Most likely the break occurred at the ends of the wire where it attaches to either the remote or the speakers.

ya its right before the wire actually goes into the casing of the remote. I opened the remote and the wires actaully inside the remote cant move (unless opened) and i tested moving them to see if sound come back but it doesnt so its right B4 the casing somewhere.
