How do i know what cas my ram is??

It will generally say in the ad, or on the packaging
If it dosn't, post whatever you know about the chips and someone here will be able to tell you what the CAS rating is. :)

Many bios' let you adjust latency, Check if it does it automatically, or if you can set it. Most generic memory is cas3, but some of it can be run at cas2 anyway. Think of it as slightly overclocking your memory. If if works, fine, if not, just go back to cas3.
