hey guys i finished building my system a week ago but i forgot to ask u guys something:

im hoping this system will last at minimum, 3 years. more would be great, but i wanna know what temp and voltages and stuff would be ideal to make it last this long.

2500+ barton -stock hsf
msi k7n2 delta -l
512 apacer ddr333 ram
9500 non-pro.
value psu/case lol
1 fan exhaust<--bought, crappy antec one
1 fan intake<--bought, crappy antec one
1 hsf for processor<--stock
1 psu fan <--stock
1 fan for vid<--stock

my temp is 33 idle and it never went past 42c at max load. now, i need to know what to check to make sure my voltages and stuff are good. my psu/case is COMPLETE crap lol and i got stock cooling on cpu with 1 fan exhaust 1 fan intake.

i hate keep going to the biod lol so can any1 reccomend a nice proggies that does everything for me? i installed pc alert 4 from my msi cd but its not working properly...stopepd working after 3-5 days and i need a new proggie 😀.

and oh this is kinda weird....my cpu just went off for some reason...twice in 1 day the other day. i was kinda worried. u know when u shutdown ur comp, u hear a beep going lower, then the comp shuts down....that happened. then my comp rebooted, detected ide drives then the beep started up again....what was shutting down and why? lol

thanks,

david.

Hmm....
well as long as it's not going over 42C under load, it should be fine. I have the same CPU and motherboard as you do, only I have a gig of crucial ram, a GeForce4 Ti4600, and 5 case fans. I also have a Volcano 9 on the CPU. I've overclocked mine (see sig) and it's around 35C idle and maxes out at around the same as yours under load.

As long as everthing is stock, you should be fine as far as voltages go... just makes sure the switch on the CPU (on the outside) is at 110/115V.

As far as another program to use, you might want to try Motherboard Monitor or WCPUID. They seem to work really well from what I've used of them.
